Anders notifies the landskansli that he intends to run a trading business in the Ådals-Liden parish. It was probably around this time that he built up the Turisthotellet and started the hotel business.
Daughter Maja sends a postcard of the hotel, seen from the rear, to her sister Tora in Örträsk. It is postmarked 9 February, two days before Tora's twentieth birthday. Two men stand on the gravel path in front of the house, and to the left is the café Nya konditoriet.
A couple of decades later, the hotel is captured from above. The cars, the garden and the bright roofs tell of a place that has remained a gathering point in the centre of Näsåker.
Today the building is run as Hotel Nämforsen, part of Patton House. The business remains on the same site by the Ångerman River, with rooms, events and a bar in the heart of Näsåker.
